ANALYTICS
When was the last time you monitored your website analytics? It’s essential to have your web developer install Google Analytics so you can keep track of how people are using your website.
A great thing to do when first monitoring your website analytics is to compare performance from month to month and then consider comparing the same 30 day period a year ago. A few key stats to look out for are total sessions, page views and average session duration
These analytics help show you information about the number of users accessing your website and how long they spent browsing your website.
Checking your most viewed pages gives you a great insight into what content people go to your website for. From a UX (User Experience) perspective you may find adjusting the hierarchy of your website to show the most popular content first will improve your drop off rate and increase your session duration. It can also give you ideas on new content you could add to your website.
BLOG
One way to increase traffic to your website is to start a blog. After posting valuable content consistently you will find that people actively seek out your blogs and also come across them via Google. Posting valuable content to your website in the form of a blog post will increase the SEO ranking of your website, in turn giving you a higher ranking in search results. The more users that access your website, the more opportunity you have to create retargeting campaigns, this provides larger reach and chances to grow your business.
FACEBOOK TRACKING PIXEL
When advertising and promoting posts on Facebook it is important to have a well defined and active audience. Installing a Facebook tracking pixel on your website enables you to grow a database of users that have accessed your website. This enables you to promote content directly to your website visitors from the last 7, 30, 90 and even 180 days.
When posting properties to your social pages, I recommend directing people to your website listing rather than third party property portals. By doing so you can benefit from adding them to your Facebook pixel database, growing your potential reach and engagement.
