When was the last time you visited your own website? Last week, last month, last year?! As your business evolves it’s essential to keep your website up-to-date to ensure it accurately reflects your service, your business and your brand. Websites are one of the common first points of call for homeowners when searching for real estate services. With this in mind, you’ll want to ensure that you’re putting your best digital foot forward.

Check the accuracy
Is your website a true reflection of your business? Do you offer the same services listed, if you have brand values on your website, are these still the same?

Check your team page
Are there any staff that have departed or joined that have not been added/removed?

Check for grammatical and punctuation errors
Your website is often part of the overall first impression, so make sure website visitors aren’t making assumptions about poor performance and service because of unfortunate copywirint errors.

*copywriting – see what we mean?

Performance
More importantly, we need to discuss website performance. It’s crucial that your website is performing at a high level. If your website is taking too long to load users can become impatient and decide to look elsewhere.

“A whopping 53% of mobile users have declared they will leave a site that takes longer than three seconds to load.”

This not only leads to a loss in website visitors but should Google identify these ‘negative experiences’, then your search rankings can be affected too meaning you might be helping your competition to appear in searches above you.
