Feature Question: Would You Consider Having a Vision Important in Real Estate Marketing?

When it comes to marketing, to say vision is crucial to the success of your business would be an understatement. Here at Acme Mag, we reached out and asked a few agents from around the country their thoughts on placing vision at a business’s core.

Vision is vital in marketing real estate. We are dealing with time poor buyers and we need to create the vision for them with each house. It’s important to show them the potential lifestyle of the homes that they are potentially purchasing. I find that there is a fine line between creating the right vibe and feel for a property and allowing enough space in the marketing and presentation to allows the buyers to envisage the lives that their families will enjoy in this property. For me, video is a great way to achieve this. With the flow of movement you can really engage with the emotions of the buyer. Buying and selling a home is all about emotion.

Having a vision for our real estate marketing gives us the parameters which assist in the implementation of our targeted marketing mix and style. This directly affects how we are perceived in the marketplace and is a keystone in our efforts to create differentiation in the eyes of our customers. Having a vision is vital to real estate marketing success, gone are the days of just putting out a “street of the week” marketing piece and getting calls, nobody ever walked out to their letterbox and thought “oh damn there is no free appraisal letter today”. As a great real estate agent, you are a trusted advisor, working for your clients and ensuring their needs and wants are met. A great agent needs to be clear on their vision, back themselves and communicate their vision. A vision enables you to work in advance, allowing you to showcase your brand and bring about consistency in marketing both property and agent, ensuring you have plenty of work in the pipeline. A great agent can’t do great work without a vision.
