01. Social Shift
We’re in the middle of a social media shift with people spending more time on Instagram and less time on Facebook. Interestingly, this shift is more common among those who are 18-35 which signals a key demographic shift in social media use.
Savvy agents are taking advantage of this and using Instagram to not only promote their work but to strengthen relationships
02. White Space
In recent years, real estate branding has improved significantly. Long gone are the days of clashing primary colours that fill the page and the the words “BUY” and “SOLD” pasted across the page – screaming at the consumer.
Interior and architectural design trends often influence the art of graphic design. Whether it be Art Deco or Mid Century, page layouts tend to mimic a style that is seen popular or #trending.
Over the years we have seen a shift in architecture. The triple front, cream brick, dark and closed off housing era has ended – and instead a modern, minimalistic look has now taken over.
Following this, real estate branding has shifted to a cleaner and much more understated design. It has been a long coming and a much needed breath of fresh air.
03. Max Staging
2019 marks a major change in interior design trends. For the past few years, minimalism has reigned supreme and whilst still #trending, a new era of max styling has come in to play, welcome to maximalism. New to maximalism? here’s a crash course: think punchy colours, opulent accents and a motto to live by – more is more. We’re seeing home staging start to follow this trend to increase sale prices, especially in the eastern suburbs with Victorian homes being lavished with luxe and punchy styles.
04. Living Local
As markets depend more and more on authenticity, real estate agents are no longer flying under the radar in their local communities. Instead we’re seeing agents take a proactive and genuine approach to become pillars in their local areas to position themselves as the go-to with real estate and local knowledge. Why? Because an agent who knows a suburb’s best kept secrets is the also an agent who knows how to sell the neighbourhood as well as the home.
